What we collect

• Organizers: your account (email address, and a password or Google sign-in), your name, and the content of the polls you create — title, dates, times, location, details, and settings.
• Guests: a display name (required to answer) and your answers. An email address is optional and asked only if you want to receive the final date; it's used to send poll emails and nothing else.
• Technical: an anonymous session for each guest browser (so your answers belong to you and nobody can overwrite them), standard server logs, and basic in-app product analytics (events like "poll created" or "answers sent" — not the content of your polls).
• Text updates (optional): when you choose updates on an event page, we keep your mobile number, the event you selected, consent wording and time, phone-verification result, delivery and opt-out records. Phone numbers and these records are private. lmkplz.com/sms-opt-in explains the event-specific signup flow. SMS is being prepared for launch; public sending remains off.

Billing information

For Plus, we associate your organizer account with Stripe customer, subscription, invoice and payment references, payment/subscription status and paid-access dates. We retain limited event-processing and refund/dispute records to provide access, reconcile payments, prevent duplicate billing and support your account. These records are private and separate from public polls. We do not store full card numbers or security codes.

What we use it for

Running your poll and sending the messages the product describes: your admin link, invitations the organizer sends, one reminder before answers close, the final result, and — only if you opted in — the text updates described on the SMS sign-up page. We also administer optional subscriptions, reconcile payments, prevent billing abuse, honor cancellations and respond to support requests. We do not use this information for advertising or sell it.

Who processes it

• Google Firebase / Google Cloud — hosting, database, sign-in, and app analytics.
• Google Ads — advertising measurement on the public website, including information about page visits, ad clicks, browser/device information and cookie identifiers. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• Stripe — hosts checkout and billing management and processes payment details, customer billing/contact information, subscriptions, receipts and refunds. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
• Resend — delivers the emails described above.
• Twilio (planned SMS provider) — when messaging launches, will process mobile numbers, message content, and delivery information to send opted-in text updates and handle messaging preferences.

SMS privacy

LMK PLZ Event Updates will send event reminders and final-date notifications only to people who opt in themselves. We use mobile numbers and consent records to provide the requested updates, manage messaging preferences, respond to support requests, and document consent. When SMS is available, signup verifies the number and records the specific event, signed-in guest session, consent version and time, and current opt-out state. Numbers, verification challenges and consent are held in protected server records, not public poll or participant documents. The organizer sees enrollment/delivery counts rather than guest phone numbers. We also retain provider message references, reconciled costs, spending authorizations and monthly SMS statements. Verification codes expire; deletion of an event stops future event messages while necessary consent, opt-out and financial records remain. Earlier website signup records are not permission to send for arbitrary events.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. This includes sharing with affiliates for marketing or promotional use. Service providers may process information only as needed to operate and support the service, as described above.

Message frequency varies with event activity, usually one reminder and one result per event. Verification, enrollment, date changes and replies to HELP or STOP may add messages. Message and data rates may apply.

Cookies and storage

The public marketing site (lmkplz.com) loads the Google Ads tag to measure visits from advertising and understand campaign performance. The tag may use cookies and send Google information such as the page URL, referring page, IP address, browser/device information and advertising identifiers. We do not send poll contents, guest names, email addresses, phone numbers or SMS consent records as advertising event parameters. This website tag does not by itself record a completed poll or purchase.

You can manage or block cookies in your browser and review Google's advertising choices in My Ad Center. The app (app.lmkplz.com) uses browser storage for sign-in and guest sessions, event drafts, theme previews and checkout-return recovery. Recovery data helps restore your selection after visiting Stripe; it is not proof of payment. Stripe-hosted pages may use their own cookies and storage.

How long we keep things

• A poll closes itself 30 days after its last offered date.
• Everything about an event — answers and email records included — is deleted about 30 days after the event wraps up.
• Organizers can delete a poll at any time from its admin page. This does not cancel Plus.
• Account and billing records are kept separately from temporary events while needed to operate subscriptions, provide support, reconcile payments, handle refunds/disputes and meet applicable accounting or legal obligations. They are not removed by event cleanup. Stripe retains records under its own policies and obligations.
• If you unsubscribe from emails, we keep your address on a suppression list so the opt-out sticks.
• SMS consent and opt-out records are kept separately from event data for as long as needed to document permissions, honor cancellations, and meet applicable obligations. Deleting an event does not automatically delete those records.

Email opt-out

Every automated email has an unsubscribe link. Using it stops reminders, results, and invitations to that address across all events. Admin-link emails you explicitly request are still delivered, since they're how you access your own event.

To access, correct, or delete your data beyond what the product does automatically, email hello@lmkplz.com or contact support, and we'll handle it directly.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update appears on this page with a new review date. We won't quietly expand what we collect.
